Why Doing "Dangerous Shit" is Important.
When I was 13 I blew off a chunk of my index finger. When I was 16 I nearly killed an Ostrich in a go-cart.
Now I am 26, and I still keep doing stupid shit. Driving too fast, doing front flips into swirling crowds of punks, or doing drunken acrobatics over bonfires at 3 in the morning.
It makes me feel alive! And isn’t that the whole point of being on this pile of rock?
My shenanigans might not mean shit in the bigger scheme of things, but some people have done some amazing stuff, just by being reckless and/or dumb as all hell.
What if two shit drunk rednecks somewhere in the backwoods of Alabama never decided to ram their cars into each other for fun? No destruction Derby. What if people saw Mt. Everest and just though “Na m8, lets rather binge on dragon ball z.” no summit. No aeroplanes, no moon landing, no fireworks, NO FUN.
Many will tell you that there are more important things in life. I say that being timid and following the rules is a death sentence and that people should dumb it down a bit. Do it for the kids.
